Vegas Baby!

Last week was such a crazy week. We were hoping to have Jake's surgery done on Friday but were referred to a doctor that wasn't comfortable with the surgery so we had to schedule with one up in Salt Lake. We had been invited by Loreen and Arlene to go to Vegas and stay at Tahiti Village. Luckily we couldn't get into the doctor until this Thursday so we were excited to be able to go down for a few days. Tahiti Village has a fabulous swimming pool and we enjoyed laying out in the nice weather and swimming lots. Kambree loved seeing all the lights and the water show at Bellagio. Every time we see a little waterfall or water feature now she gets super excited over it. Jake and I got tickets to see The Blue Man group while we were there. We had a blast! We were right in the middle of the theatre and were on the 3rd row (the poncho section). You are at risk for getting things like marshmallows, banana pudding, paint, water and yes even jello thrown at you. I was the lucky one who got jello thrown at my head. Everyone around me was touching it and I was so happy to take home a free sovenier. We had a wonderful time and it was so nice to get away from life since it has been pretty crummy the last couple of weeks.

Before the show in our ponchos!

Me and my jello. I was so proud of it. We put it in the fridge for the night.

He was our favorite out of the three. We were the first ones to get our pictures taken with him and then everyone else was going up after.

We went to dinner at the Paris. It was so yummy.

The Gardens at the Bellagio.

Kambree wanted to smell all of the flowers.

Missing my car

Last week Jake completely tore off his adductor longus muscle from his hip bone. We are awaiting an appointment tomorrow with the surgeon to find out what day he can have surgery. Because of his injury he can't drive his truck because it is too difficult to push in the clutch. So we have switched cars. I never realized just how spoiled I am to have lots of room and a nice air conditioner as I do now. His truck is very small and lacks the nice cold air. Even though it isn't convenient right now I am very grateful for this time to count my many blessings. It is pretty crazy that sometimes it takes something big to make you more grateful for all that you have. Now to learn how to mow the lawn. Yes I know, it is pretty ridiculous that I have never mowed the lawn before. But now I get to, let's hope I don't ruin it. Hopefully he can recover soon and we can back to normal life.

Bored?

So this week has been a weird week. I haven't had preschool and it usually is what takes up a lot of time. I know there is a lot to do like clean, organize, etc. but frankly I really have no desire to do those things. I would much rather be having fun. We have had a lot of fun though this week. We bought a pass to the Lehi Legacy Center and have been going swimming almost everyday. I really need some tips from people on what would be some fun things to do this summer. In the mean time I will enjoy the fact that I don't have as busy of a schedule as normal and enjoy my sweet little girl.

We weeded a lot and all though this isn't my idea of fun it was nice to be outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.

My dad (Grandpa Turkey we call him) came for a visit and we enjoyed some yummy barbeque.

One of our butterflies from preschool can't fly so we have just been keeping him safe. Bree loved it when I pulled it out and let her have a turn holding it.

This little girl makes me smile. All we have to say is "oh" an she tilts her head all cute and poses for a picture. She has also been saying her name all week long. She calls herself B-bree. It is so fun to see how much she is learning lately.

She loves talking on the phone. She has been doing this for a long time. I think it shows how much I do it. She even pretends to text on it. Too funny!

Bree loves being with other kids. Hunter is her best little friend. They seem to do everything around the same time. Even though she doesn't like to share and says "no, no" anytime they look at her toys, she always seems happy to have a playmate.
