21 day challenge

Thanks to my great friend Shyla I had a little help getting motivated to finish the challenge I started. She wasn't sure if she was going to do it with me and then all the sudden she was caught up to how far I was. I couldn't let her pass me up :) So I have finished in the last couple of weeks and I feel super tired now. I made it a goal that I could order my baby bedding when I was finished and it should be here any day now! I honestly feel like I may be nesting even though I am only 23 weeks. I for some reason am now addicted and have been making new lists of things I want to do to make our house feel even better. Here are the many before and after pictures, I think I didn't take a few but I am almost embarrassed to show you how bad some of my closets and drawers looked. Please don't judge me!

 Pantry

Dresser Drawers
 My messy sock drawer
Kambree liked helping with this one.

Kitchen and bathroom sinks
Jake did this one for me :)
Gross our bathroom drawers were so unorganized, I bought a lot of bins for them.

Laundry room

 Coat Closet

cook books and medicine cabinet, a complete mess!
 Now nice and clean!

I cleaned out our game hutch Kambree had gotten into and pulled all the cards out .

Really??? Do I need this many plastic bags?

Our Freezer was disgusting, it felt so good to wash it all down and get rid of all the freezer burn.

What on earth? Art supplies about ready to fall over.
 Much better!

Our closet, I love how Jake claims that he wears all these clothes. I got rid of a few that I haven't seen in awhile.

Kambree's closet that use to be a junk closet. We spent 90 minutes shredding old bills!
We still have a few more things to put in from her old room.

And as I was updating the blog my baby bedding arrived! Kambree has already opened it and claimed it as her little hideout right now.

My New Year's Resolution

Well I posted in January that I had a made my New Year's resolution to keep the house cleaner and dejunk and organize. I feel like Jake and I do great at keeping the house pretty clean with a 2 year old running around. And things have been a lot easier now that morning sickness is fading. So next was to work on organizing. It's funny cuz my friend Heather was just telling me about her grandma and how much she looks up to her. I feel the same way about her and my friend Nicole. They seem to have their lives so put together. And they make me want to do a better job at keeping things nice. (This is a good thing by the way Nicole and Heather :) ) Anyhow I found a website that I really liked and after a week of talking about it I finally started it. It is called 21 days to a more organized home. Tonight was the junk drawers. And oh were they bad!!! I not only have 1 but 2. It's always so embarrassing when people are looking for a fork and open the first junk drawer only to quickly shut it and then open the second one. So I finally did it the way she recommended so that it wouldn't get bad again. I am hoping this is true. Hope you enjoy the pictures :) It took about an hour to do, not too bad. I just did it while Jake watched the Jazz game.

Also here is her website. I would love it if any of you are dying to join me. It's always nice to have a friend help motivate you.

21 day challenge

P.S. I didn't post them on her blog, too much work when I just wanted to do it on my own.

Before: Scary I know! I filled up 5 bins of crap!

After: Let's hope it stays this way!

30th Birthday!

Do I feel different? No   Do I feel older? Nope  so it was just another birthday, but it was a lot of fun! Jake made me breakfast in bed and cute little Kambree wanted to eat her breakfast in bed with me. So she got under the covers and said, " Kambree's birthday, Kambree's turn". We had so much fun giggling as we ate our breakfast. I had to wash all the sheets though cuz there were LOTS of crumbs. :) In the evening we went to Dickey's Barbeque to eat and then were suppose to go to a movie. I have to say that I really was bummed to hear we were going to a movie. I don't usually go to movies a lot unless it is one that I am dying to see. Well Jake happened to leave our prepaid tickets at home. When we got home to pick them up he ran inside and then called me asking me if I could come help him find them. As I walked in to the house I heard "Surprise" from a lot of my friends who had came by for the celebration. We had ColdStone ice cream cake that was delicious and then played games. I also got a few gag gifts that helped me to feel old, a bed pan (at least it was pink), some arthritis pills and IcyHot cream. It was a great night and I couldn't have been more spoiled.

 Coming in the door!
 Lots of birthday candles!
It took 2 blows since I didn't take a big enough breath the first time.

Also my baby bump at 19 weeks pregnant. We did an ultrasound last night at Jake's work. I was so worried he was going to try and peak to see what we were having, but he didn't. It was so neat to see the baby moving all over the place and looking right at us.

2 going on 3!

One day last week I asked Kambree how old she was and told her to say 2. She did it great and then Jake got home and I asked her and she yelled 3! I kept trying to tell her she was 2 but she insists that she is 3. She has grown up all of the sudden and I begin to realize she isn't my cute little baby anymore. Just my cute little girl! She also decided a week before her birthday that she no longer wanted to sleep in a crib. She was climbing out several times a night and so we decided it was time to get a big girl bed. We got it at IKEA and I really love it even though it was more money than I wanted to spend on a bed. Hopefully it will last a really long time.

Kambree loves it too and has been sleeping so well in it. I can't wait for my step mom to make her a cute quilt and get all the walls painted.

For her birthday she had a party at Monkey Island with a few of her friends in the neighborhood. She wanted cow and dinosaur cupcakes so I made both but forgot to take pictures of the dinosaur ones. She got some fun presents and had a blast with her cute little friends.

On Sunday we had a family party for her. She got a new little tea set from Jake and I and she loved eating her cupcake and pouring water in the little cups.

 Playing in mom's high heels!
 Loves with Grandpa Carlile
 Tea Set!
Loves from Great Grandma and Grandpa Major.
 Knuckles with Uncle Jared.

It was a great weekend we had a blast! Happy 2nd birthday Kambree :) Only a year away until you will really be 3!

Birthday Month

Thank Heavens January is birthday month! It is so gross and cold outside and yet it is nice to have 3 birthdays to celebrate and make it go by quicker. My dad's birthday is on New Year's Day and then Kambree and mine is later in the month. For my dad's birthday we normally always go out to Sizzler with him and my grandparents, but Grandma and Grandpa weren't feeling well this year so I made dinner for my dad and we went bowling. Kambree liked bowling but not nearly as much as she liked the arcade games. She actually won the jackpot on one game and got 600 tickets!!! The machine started playing music and all the other kids and families were staring with their eyes wide open wishing they had won so many tickets. But Kambree didn't even get it. As much as I don't want her to grow up at that moment I was wishing she was 4 years old and would be jumping for joy. O well, we bought her a can of barrel of monkeys which she thought was candy and kept trying to eat.

Hope you all are having a great New Year! The only New Year's resolution I made was to keep my house from turing into a complete disaster and to dejunk and organize better.
So far I am doing great at keeping it clean and keeping up on chores but haven't got to the dejunking and organizing yet. I don't know if I will ever get it as organized as my good friends Nicole and Heather's houses but everyone needs someone to look up to right?
