Finally it's warm!

I have to say that I am not like everyone else out there that is dying to have it be summer. I have loved the cool weather with all the rain because it means that I am not sweating like crazy. I am so happy that I only have 5 more weeks until my induction day. I can't imagine going through the whole summer being pregnant! The last couple of days have seemed super hot to me even though we are only in the 70's. I have to sleep with the window open every night and with no covers. Kambree wants to go outside all the time and so I have already pulled out our swimming pool so that I can enjoy feeling cool and she can have fun playing in the water.

Filling up the pool, this was her favorite part until we borrowed a sprinkler from the neighbor.

She loved copying Jake and doing all the stuff he was doing.
Surprisingly she really liked this, I was worried she would be crying.

The whole family! Except me of course, I don't feel too comfortable getting my picture taken in my swimsuit while being pregnant.

The best part was after when I got her dressed and we were still playing outside. Kambree told Jake she was cold so he told her to go inside. She went in and got her hat and mittens on. We were laughing so hard.

Easter

The holidays keep getting more exciting. Kambree loves each one and gets more excited as she gets older. She was so excited to see the Easter Bunny this year. We told her about it a few weeks before Easter and she kept saying "Easter Bunny Coming?" everyday. She even would sleep with all her bunny stuffed animals. When we went to the mall to see him she was so excited and kept yelling in line, "Hi Easter bunny, I Kambree". When she sat on his lap she kept hugging and kissing him.

She was so cute posing for pictures on Sunday. I think she loves getting her picture taken, probably because we do it too much :)

Jake's new hobby!

Last year Jake had a really bad injury while playing softball. He has been out of commission for some time now and always looked like a sad puppy dog when I would finish my races or go work out. Lately he got into swimming and I suggested he sign up for a Sprint Triathalon. So we looked it up and I made him sign up right then so he couldn't back out. He only had about 6 weeks to train but was so diligent at following his schedule that he set up. He hurt his knee last week while playing church ball but was determined to still do the race. It has been so fun to see him so motivated and enjoying something so much. We already spent a bunch of money on stuff for the race but I could see a street bike on the wish list in the near future.

Not Jake: Just humorous people dressed up
 The Tin Man
 Robin Hood and Batman
Jake waving as he went by.
I wish I could have got the picture but my dad ran up with Kambree so she could give him a high five.

Kambree had so much fun with Grandpa Turkey playing and rolling in the grass.

 Watching for Daddy to come.

 Getting ready for the swim.

This guy cracked me up. He was riding a little girl bike with a pink helmet.

Finish time 1 hour 25 minutes! Great job Jake. We are so proud of you!

What have we been up to?

Well not much going on here. I am sad to say there is so much that I still want to get done in the house but pregnancy this time around has been so hard. It seems like morning sickness lasted forever (well until 22 weeks.) And then the heartburn started up right away. This week I had a really sharp pain in my chest that lasted about 24 hours. I am hoping it doesn't come back, I think it was an air bubble or something in my lungs. All I know is it was super painful. I am now 28 weeks so still quite a few weeks to go. Hopefully that burst of energy will come back.

Kambree has been having lots of fun playing outside lots more. She asks to go to the park everyday so we try to go over for a little bit and rotate off with going there, swimming and going to Thanksgiving Point. We tried potty training for 2 days and then had to take a break on Sunday since Jake's mom was in the hospital. We never got back into it but I guess I need to start up again. She went 3 times in the potty but only because she was sitting there reading books or watching tv. I am open to any tips you have. I wonder if she is ready but then I hear of all sorts of people who have worked it out already at 18 months. They are amazing mom's I have decided. These are the black mail pictures Jake got of her.

Jake has been training for his first sprint triathalon. He will be doing it in 2 weeks. Today he did the whole thing as a trial run. He actually did more then he will be doing race day. It was fun to see how pumped he was and I have loved seeing him enjoying doing something again since he injured his leg last summer. The other day he asked me to cut his hair. Well actually he has been asking me to cut it for over a month. It is the longest his hair has ever been. I came in to cut it only to find him blow drying it into a huge AFRO. It was so funny looking that I had to take a picture.

And that's about it in our life. We are staying busy working and enjoying the warmer weather. Hope you are all doing well!

Missing St. George!

This last weekend we got to go visit Noni and Yia Yia down in St. George. They have been camping out in their new trailer they bought when they retired. It was such a fun trip but went by way too quick. I realized a couple things though I am not sure if they will ever happen. First, I would like Jake to retire in the next couple of years so we can have lots more time together. (yeah, I know that one will never happen). The second was how much I truly love being in southern Utah. I really want to live there. The only thing holding me back is missing family and friends that I get to see all the time right now. We mainly just hung around camp, swimming, playing at the park and going for walks. We also went to a small ghost town and then to Zion's National Park. This is our favorite park to visit in Utah, it is always so beautiful. Hopefully we can get away again soon, it was so wonderful that it has been sort of depressing to come back to normal life this week.

Kambree got her official new hair cut from Cookie Cutters. Thankfully my friend Denae came and helped make it look better. She looked a bit like Floyd off of Dumb and Dumber.
 Lounging around.

This was at the small little Ghost Town that we went to.

 The old school house/ church.
They had this neat little cemetery. It was sad to read about how some families lost several children and parents from Scarlet Fever and other illnesses. Also, there was a family that was all scalped by Indians.

Our trip to Zion's. We went to Weeping Rock. It was so neat to see all the waterfalls this time of year before they dry up.

Kambree loved it she kept saying, "Wow, Waterfall!"

Her favorite thing was just sitting by the stream throwing rocks.

Jake loved it just as much as her. :)
