Last year when I was turning 30 I was so excited. I told Jake this was a milestone birthday and he better throw me a surprise party. He in fact did throw me a party and it was a fun day! I can't believe a year has already passed and I am now 31. A few days before my birthday I kept looking at the mirror and thinking to myself. "wow, I am starting to look old." Maybe it has something to do with the sleepless nights and bags under my eyes. I also went to a PiYo class the day before my birthday and one of my hips popped out of place as well as one of my ribs. THey always do this and always pop back in, but it still is super painful. I couldn't help but think. Oh boy I guess this is the year of falling apart. :)
My birthday was great though! Jake made me breakfast and then I went to get a massage. After my massage my in-laws came over with a birthday gift and visit and then I got to go shopping for bunch of new clothes. My newest favorite place is called Bohme in the mall. I really love everything in that store and wish that it was my closet. Then Jake and I went out to dinner at Market Street Grill and we went to see Unitards. A silly movie. It reminded me of Napolean Dynamite/ High School Musical. It was super cheesy, to the point it made me feel uncomfortable throughout most of the movie. Jake also surprised me with buying me the perfume called Love by Ralph Lauren. I have been wanting this perfume for almost 2 years. I found it when we were at the Ralph Lauren store in Vegas and thought for sure I could find it at home. But unfortunately they only sale it at a couple of stores or through their online store. I was so happy to get it and still am just as much in love with it as I was the day I first tried it.
Tonight my family took me to Cheesecake Factory for my birthday as well. That's the great things about birthdays. You get to celebrate for a week! We were told it was going to be about an hour wait and when we had been waiting for awhile we went to see how much longer it was going to be. We then found out that our name wasn't on the list at all and we had to talk to the manager about it. Luckily we had a pager so they knew we weren't making anything up. After waiting for 2 hours the manager finally got us back and let us pick 3 appetizers on the house since we had waited for so long. I love getting freebies ;) It was so much fun and of course the food was absolutely delicious!
So I guess I will enjoy my year of being 31 and hopefully my baggy eyes will start to look better and my smile lines won't bug me so much :)
I also thought I would add the pictures from Kambree's 3rd birthday. We had a Minnie Mouse birthday party for her. She had such a fun weekend and would tell everyone that her birthday was coming. When Sue (my sis inlaw) finally said "Kambree it is your birthday!" And then she just started screaming and jumping up and down with excitement. I have to say that I had a blast planning this birthday party and getting everything ready :) I love that our birthdays are 5 days apart because it gives me an excuse to go all out and celebrate my birthday a little bit too :)
Fun decorating ideas that I found off of Pinterest.
Kambree's Minnie Mouse outfit to wear.
Noni and Yia Yia came to help out with her birthday party she had with her friends.
Dancing!
Decorating birthday cupcakes.
Birthday cake for the birthday girl! I had a lady in the neighborhood north of us make it. She did such an AMAZING job!
Kambree got a Minnie Mouse scooter from Jake and me. She loves it says, "mom this is so fun!" Every time she rides it.
She got a giant caterpillar for her birthday from brother Lance and Sheesha. Kambree loves this guy and loves cuddling with him.
3 years old! She finally will say she is 3 rather than 19. :) Although I think her fiesty personality is more like a teenager. ;)

Relaxing after a busy weekend
It's been a crazy last few days! This last weekend Jake was called into work at the hospital a TON. It was nice have him get some extra hours but we really were missing him. On Saturday he got called in the middle of the night. He got home around 3am and shortly after falling asleep we heard a really loud noise in the living room. I thought someone had broken into our house because it sounded like there was a fight going on with the dog. Jake ran out to see what had happened and Sequoia was laying on her side and running into everything. We got her to our room and tried to settle her down. It seemed like she was having a stroke because one side of her body was really stiff and she was shaking and making moaning sounds. Her eyes were dilated and she looked in pain. I was so scared she was going to die right there in my arms and started bawling. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to be there to comfort her but I didn't want her to die and have to watch it. Jake went out into the kitchen to look for some medicine for her and I started singing to her. I also was praying a ton and asking God to not take her. I know this might seem silly to some of you but Sequoia is one of our kids. She was there through so many of the lonely times with infertility and always made us feel so loved. After praying and starting to sing she finally calmed down and seemed to be getting better. We later found out that she had a seizure. Luckily she hasn't had anymore and I hope to never have to witness another one. After our crazy weekend we got back into normal routine and then I got hit with stomach flu. Yuck! It was miserable. I guess the best part of having it though was that it made me actually take a break and today I have just been playing with my little kiddos. I love these guys so much and feel blessed to have them.
Loves with Daddy
I can't believe they are pretty much the same size. Kambree is only 9 pounds heavier!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoy a nice relaxing day! Kambree's 3rd birthday is this Sunday and she is so excited. I can't wait to celebrate!

So much for all her cute clothes.....
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! We had a blast this year. Kambree has been so excited for Santa to come and was so happy to get her blue camera she has been wanting the last few months. She takes picture of everything! Even the people at the store and Daddy in the shower. Santa also brought her a trunk of princess dress up clothes. She will not take them off though. I have so many cute outfits for her and she just wants to be Snow White everyday and once in awhile Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. I do have a funny story about her the other night. We had Noni and Yia Yia over for fondue and when it was time for Kambree to go to bed she kept banging on the door refusing to go to sleep. We tried to ignore her but then heard her saying Ms. Julie come here! (Ms. Julie is what the preschool kids call me so I guess she thought this would get my attention more) I finally gave in after we all had been laughing and went to check on her. She had put on her Sleeping Beauty outfit and informed me that Sleeping Beauty needed a drink of water. I tried to not laugh and got her a small drink and then reminded her that she was Sleeping Beauty and should be sleeping until she got kissed by a prince. :) She didn't make a peep after that.
Here are some pictures from December. We hope you are all doing well and had a Happy Holiday.
I ordered a gingerbread house from Bountiful Baskets and we had fun making these. I noticed a couple preschool kids who liked to sneak some candy off of it when they thought I wasn't looking.
Kambree loves being a mommy too! She always feeds her Minnie Mouse though and never really plays with her dolls.
The Finished product!
These two just adore each other! It may be a different story when Asher can fight back though.
We went to Mike and Sue's house in Idaho this month to celebrate Christmas early. We had a blast playing Just Dance on the wii. I am totally addicted now and want one for my birthday.
Asher got lots of new toys for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve we did our yearly tradition and made cupcakes for baby Jesus. Kambree loved singing Happy Birthday to him and blowing out all the candles.
Uncle Jared gave her a 4 feet tall Sock Monkey. He is huge and sometimes a little scary looking. But Kambree loves him.
The long awaited day for the blue camera from Santa. The batteries were dead after one day of use. I will need to buy a rechargeable battery box.
Asher enjoying playing with the paper. He does love his gift from Santa though. The Dino ball popper.
Kambree being her favorite princess, Snow White. I can't get her to stop wearing it. She even wears it to bed at night.
My step mom made this cute Christmas decoration for me. I Love it!
Her doggie that Grandpa Turkey gave her. She named it Hallie which is our good friends, Matt and Heidi's, baby's name. :)
Kambree put a cotton ball on santa's beard each day to count down to Christmas. The bummer was that it was finished on Christmas Eve rather then Christmas day and she kept looking out the window wondering when Santa would be here.
Fondue night: We got a little crazy with the Chocolate Fountain.
Snow White playing in her new house Uncle Lance and Alisha gave her.

Asher started eating solids this month. He is now 6 months old and weighs 20 pounds and is 27 inches long. Still a big boy and loves regular food just as much as he loves his milk.
