The Last shot!

Tonight is my last shot after doing 65 of them! That's right 65 shots,  one everyday. But it is all worth celebrating because we have a little bambino growing :) I am now 10 weeks pregnant!!! After our last failed Invitro cycle we decided to give it another try. This time went a lot better! We got 14 eggs and 7 of them fertilized and made it to day 3. We were able to put in  2 embryos and one of them took. I had some low hcg levels at first and it wasn't looking too promising but everything has been great and we have seen the baby's heart beat 3 times now. That is such an amazing thing! It truly is a miracle and we feel so blessed that God has blessed us with this little baby. I have had a lot more morning sickness (all day sickness) this time but have just started taking Zofran and have been feeling great the last couple of days! Now to decided if we will wait to find out the gender of this little guy. Jake wants to find out but I think it would be so much fun to wait until the end.

Here is the box of about half of my shots. I had to put a lot of them in the refrigerator. These ones you just give in the stomach, they're not too bad.

These are the more painful shots. Progesterone. They go into your hip or butt muscle. They aren't too bad at first. But once you have done them for a few weeks the oil starts to set up and you have hard little knots and bruises all over. This will be my last night of this shot, and I am so happy about it!
Here are our 2 embryos that we put in. I really think it is amazing that I get a picture of my child as an embryo. That is definitely a perk of doing invitro!
Here is our baby at 9 weeks. I wish the picture was a little better but o well.
I was able to surprise Jake at work to tell him we were pregnant. I ordered this cute shirt from Zoey's Attic online. They will custom make any shirt you want. They were so nice about it and I was so excited to do something fun to tell him. When he saw us I asked him if he liked Kambree's shirt? He read the front and that was it. He said, "Yeah that's nice". I asked him if he wanted to know the rest of the joke and he just looked at me funny. Then I showed him the back and he smiled really big! I am so excited Kambree gets to have a sibling.

Happy Halloween!

It has been so much fun to celebrate Halloween this year. Kambree loves watching all the people in different costumes and had so much fun at the Lehi Legacy Center Halloween party. This was her first experience with trick or treating and she was Ecstatic over her first piece of candy. She was running all around and was excited to go to the next stop. I had her be a bee again because the costume still fit her from last year and she really liked it. Although, yesterday at Target we saw a cow costume and she absolutely loved that one much more than the bee. She kept saying "moo. moo." Over and over again. Next year I figure she will be a little more opinionated at what she wants to be. And I will let her choose.

This picture was taken at my preschool Halloween Party. I need some tips for getting kids to not want sugar all the time. She use to be such a good eater and now she just wants sugar 24/7.
We went to Gardner Village and got some pics next to the Witches. It was a mad house at that place. I was so exhausted by the time we left.
We got to see some of our favorite mascots.
Kambree got her face painted. I was surprised she didn't touch it and try to rub it all off.

Finally got one...

We have been going to Thanksgiving Point a ton lately with Kambree. She loves Farm Country and acts like all the animals are her own pets. So after spending a ton of money already paying each time we go I finally bought a season pass. We were able to go to the Dinosaur Museum the other day and it was a ton of fun. My only worry now is do they still have everything open when there is snow on the ground?

Kambree loved playing in the sand but not as much as Jake did. I should have taken a picture of how into it he was.
She will probably hate this picture but I just love when you see little kid bum cracks.

Finally, Jake has been working so much lately. But it is so nice when he is at American Fork hospital so we can go for a visit. I still can't believe how much she looks like him. Hopefully one day I will be able to see a little of me in her.

Family Traditions

I love all the memories of family traditions I had while growing up. It is fun now that we have our own child to still keep those traditions but to also start some new ones. Last year we went up to the Uintahs and camped at Ledge Fork Campground. We found the perfect site and promised ourselves that we would always camp at campground #53. But unfortunately this year it was closed due to some damage on the bridge, so we ended up closer at #4. It was still a nice one though. This year my dad came again as well as Lance and Alisha and Jake's family came one night to celebrate Jared's birthday. We had a blast!!! Let us know if you want to add to the excitement, the more the merrier!

 Setting up camp
Well Jake did most of the work while I enjoyed the fire.
My dad is an AMAZING cook. We had dutch oven cooking most of the time we were up there.
It was REALLY REALLY cold at night. I think when we got up in the morning we read the temperature at 32 degrees. We had to bundle up a ton. Kambree seemed pretty warm but Jake and I were freezing the first night.
It was gorgeous up there with all the leaves changing colors.
One of Kambree and Sequoia's favorite things to do: Play with sticks!
Oh boy!!! I love this little girl soooo much!
Kambree and Sequoia talking about their plans for the day.
Lance and Alisha, off being cute new love birds.
All ready to go hiking. I cropped this picture cuz Jake was trying to hold Sequoia in it but it looked more like he was trying to strangle her.
The backpack for Kambree didn't last long, she preferred hiking the way the big people do.

My dad was so wonderful! He loves Kambree so much that he pretty much took care of her the whole time while Jake and I truly got to relax. He still won't change any of her diapers though :)
One of the best parts of being a parent! I love looking at a sleeping baby.
My dad gave me his under armor to wear to try to keep me warm but I was still freezing.
Now that's much more like it! Thanks Dad, I was plenty warm the second night.
We celebrated Jared's 34th birthday while up there. Nobody brought any candles for the cake so we lit a stick on fire.

As you have read in previous posts Kambree is obsessed with her animals. We have started stuffing them into her clothes now. She thinks it is so funny. Not really a tradition, but still cute pictures.

The last tradition that I have grown to love is going to Grandpa Butterfield's and Grandma Shirley's house for the pumpkin fest. We eat lots of great food and then the kids get to pick a pumpkin from my Grandpa's garden and paint away. This was Kambree's first year really getting excited about it. After she realized the paint doesn't go in her mouth, she was having the time of her life.

Squeezing in some fun!

Life has been crazy busy since preschool started up. It's funny how all summer I was feeling bored and wanting more to do and now I just love the days when we can lounge around all day. I honestly love being busy though. We have been having a ton of fun with our little girl.

Kambree loves to play the piano with me. Especially when she can turn the pages on the book.

We had some friends invite us to go to Trafalaga here in Lehi with them. Kambree loved the rides so much and never got bored or tired. We were up until 11:30 at night.

Kambree with Shyla aka kambree's 2nd mother. :)

This is the face she says when she says "cheese" I think we may not haver her say cheese anymore.

We went on the water boats pretty late and decided nobody was going to spray anyone else. That worked out great until some little kids got on right after us and nailed her right in the face.

Kambree is soooooo obsessed with her stuffed animals right now. She has to have all of them go to bed with her and when she gets up all of them have to come out with her. It started with 2 stuffed animals and I think she now has about 10 of them that she lugs around with her everywhere. The best is when she piles them on top of Sequoia and then cuddles with her.
