Yes, I am probably crazy.

"Running is a big question mark that's there each and every day. It asks you, 'Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?'"
- Peter Maher, Canadian marathon runner

I love this quote! This is my newest endeavor lately. To run a full marathon! After having Kambree I got into running and found that I really enjoyed it. It was at a time right before we were getting ready to do IVF again that I decided to do a half marathon. I loved it because unlike ivf it was something I could control. I could control how many miles I ran, how many races I completed, and the end result of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Since having Asher, I have still found joy in running but it has been a lot harder to get back to where I was before having a baby. There are runs that I feel like a failure and feel that I am crazy to be training to run 26.2 miles. And then there are days that I feel so much peace and strength.

I haven't officially signed up yet because the last half marathons that I did, I ran with Pneumonia and Bronchitis. I am worried I may jinx myself. So I will sign up a couple weeks before. But so far I am super excited and nervous at the same time.

I told myself and my friends and family that I would never do a full marathon. And here I am now eating my words. Any tips or advice you have would be great :) Also, if anyone feels up to doing it with me, I would love a race buddy.

Some fun videos of Kambooger!

I love how much Kambree has been singing and playing the piano lately. She has always seemed like she would be more into sports, but lately really seems to like music. Here are some fun little videos of her.

My favorite on this one is when she bows. I taught her to put her hand over her waist but instead she likes to put herself in choke hold.

On the last video, I was planning for teaching primary on Sunday. I taught her some sign language and she told me I was doing it all wrong. She had to show me the right way to sing "Choose the Right". I love how she puts her hands on her hips at the end of the song. She definitely is sassy.

Summer time Relaxation!

I love Summer time! It has been so relaxing. I love having extra time to clean my house, work out and just spend time with my kids and hubby. We have been playing outside lots. I love the Pass of all Passes. It is so nice to take a trip to Trafalaga or Seven Peaks. We just got back from Spring City last week too. My favorite part was sleeping outside under the stars. Jake and I realized when we got home that we didn't take any pictures while we were down there. Oh well, I am sure we will get more opportunities. :)

Getting out the umbrella when we finally got some rain!

Practicing somersaults down the Slip and Slide. I love when she does the very last one in the big puddle of water and then runs around with her eyes closed.

Look at all that chunk! Just love it :)

Sequoia loves playing in the backyard too! Poor thing gets squirted by Kambree too much though.

Hope you are all having a great summer too!

Asher is 1 already!

I can't believe my little guy is a year old! Crazy how fast this year went by. I just adore this kid. He truly lights up my day. He always is smiling and laughing. He loves wrestling all ready. Any time Jake or I lie down on the floor he will come crawling over as fast as he can and just start climbing all over us and start laughing like crazy. He also loves balls and has mastered rolling it back and forth. He loves pillows too and loves to just bury his face in them and roll around all over the floor.

We had a great birthday celebration for him! There were so many people here and we decided to do it at the house rather than the park since it was so hot. Needless to say, it was pretty chaotic in the house. But was still lots of fun! Here are some pictures from his birthday party. I was so excited to do a cookie monster theme since he loves to eat so much. He weighed in at 25 1/2 pounds yesterday at his check up. The doctor joked around saying, "What are we going to do to get Asher to start eating more? " and then said, " We may need to put him on 2% milk at 18 months if he keeps growing so much. I have already decided I will be broke when this kid is a teenager from buying so much food. I may end up going to Costco 2 or 3 times a week. :)  Jake is still hoping for a linebacker.

My cookie monster cupcake I made. It was pretty easy to do and I love how cute it turned out.

Uncle Jared with all the cousins.

 Grandma Major and Cynthie chatting.

Opening presents. This is the only picture I got without a bunch of kids helping him open them. They were all so excited!
He got a Thomas the Train pillow pet that he loves squishing.

 Getting ready to dig in.

 Love this cheesy one!
I am a little biased but I think he is ADORABLE!

Kambree joined in with the yummy food. It was hard for her to not get all the attention.

Daddy got him all cleaned up.

Hopefully this next year doesn't go by so quick! I can't believe how old they are both getting. It was a wonderful year. Thank you so much to those who came and celebrated with us. :)

Busy month but lots of fun!

Well we have been in our new house now for a little over a month! I think we are mostly settled in except for needing to organize the basement stuff. We have been really busy this month but have been having a blast!

Kambree had her first dance recital. It was so cute to watch her and she really loved her teacher.

We also had Mike and Sue's family for a weekend. It was Anson's first birthday so we had a little party for him. Mike and Sue also bought the pass of all passes so the kids had a blast spending most the weekend at Trafalga. Kambree loves her cousins so much! She was so sad when they had to go.

This little guy is already walking all over the place! We have tried to get Asher to start practicing his walking skills but he isn't too interested in that yet. :)

All the kids!

Lovin on my little chunker boy. Today he at a whole piece of bread without it even being broke into little pieces. He had it gone within minutes. And then wanted more. Jake and I like to joke about how broke we will be when he is a teenager from buying so much food. Hopefully it's only a joke. :)

Anson loved his cupcake and had to have another one.

We also went to St. George this month for Jake's first Olympic Tri. It was his first time swimming in open water so he didn't realize that he gets motion sickness from the waves. The poor guy was so sick during the swim. He did great on the bike and run though. He did such a great job and Kambree and I had fun watching him. Kambree also had fun hanging out by the water and sand while we waited for him.

Lastly I just had to include this video: His laugh is so contagious!

April

April was such a fun month! We had a great Easter this year. It was actually fun doing eggs this year compared to last year when Kambree just wanted to break all the eggs and eat them all. On Easter morning we were excited to have Kambree find her easter basket. She was in a really grumpy mood though and kept crying over the fact that she couldn't find her basket. I suggested that she open the armoire so we could watch a show and take a break. She was still crying while opening it and changed from throwing a fit to cheering! It was pretty funny. I wish I would have video taped it. I am realizing that 3 year olds have a much bigger temper than 2 year olds. :)

The Easter Bunny brought her a music box and some jewelry.

Jake's favorite egg that he made.

Asher got lots of food and a bath toy!

We took the kids to the temple on Easter Day and took some pictures. Kambree loved looking at all the pretty flowers, and wrestling with Asher.

We also closed on our new house this month! Even though it is just a few houses away from our last one it was still quite a bit of work and I was sore for days. We are loving the extra room, the basement for preschool, and the park right across the street from us. Sequoia was really down the first couple of days that we moved in and wondered what was going on. She now loves the new place and knows it is her new home. Kambree loves her HUGE bedroom upstairs and Asher loves climbing all the stairs. So far no falls!

Jake's 33rd birthday was this month. Kambree really wanted to make him a pig birthday cake for his birthday. So that's what we did. She also picked out a frog head lamp to give him for his birthday. It was a great laugh.

 Lots and lots of candles.

Finally, one of my favorite memories from the month was running with Kambree in her first race. We did a 5k at UVU called Color me Rad. They had lots of different color stations where they sprayed you down. We also had colored powder to throw at each other. Kambree ran about 2.5 miles which was AMAZING! We finished in 55 minutes. And she loved every second of it. When we were done she said she wanted to do it again. :) That girl has so much energy! This was one of my favorite races. We will definitely be doing it next year.

At the very end throwing up all of our colors.

Before race: Our Team SWOOB and Kambree loved streching.
