Asher Jacob Carlile

Last week was so much fun! I was scheduled to be induced on June 21st, (the first day of summer). I was so excited only to be disappointed when I was told that all the beds were full at the hospital. I kept hoping all day that they would get me in but they had women go into labor on their own so it just kept staying busy. Wednesday the 22nd came and I was suppose to go in at 7am. But once again I received a phone call saying they were full but I would probably get in soon. Finally I got the phone call I was hoping for and was all set up to go at 10:30 am. It was such a different experience this time compared to Kambree. My labor was only 8 hours compared to Kambree's 26 hours! And everything went well with him, no problems with him not breathing like we had with Kambree. Overall it was the best day of my life! I can't really describe the spirit or feeling in the room but it was so peaceful. It was also so much fun not knowing what we were having. Jake and the nurses thought for sure a boy and Dr. Ollerton kept saying "here she comes, here she comes!". And once he was here Jake yelled out, "It's a little boy!" It was such a surprise to me and such  a joyous moment. I wish I could do that day over and over again. I am looking forward to pictures my friend Kim took of the birth story to always remember just how wonderful this event was.

Introducing Asher Jacob Carlile Born at 6:09 PM on June 22 (Same day as Grandma Van's 88th birthday)

He weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long (He doesn't seem too big to me but definitely super long)

 Making funny faces!

Kambree loves Asher. When she met him she said "Hi Sasher, I Kambree". She loves to say how cute he is and that she is a big sister.

 Grandma Major with Asher.
This is all he does so far. He just sleeps all day long! We are almost past the 2 week honeymoon so we will see if it lasts.
Getting ready to come home. Sequoia loved him and was licking him all over.
