Miss Independent again....

I thought I would share a couple of stories about Kambree. As most of you know she fell out of a cart at Costco a couple weeks ago. All because she always stands up in the cart and we are constantly telling her to sit down. It was a pretty bad fall and left some severe battle wounds. She still has black eyes about 3 weeks later.

Sort of weird how the pictures don't seem to show how black and blue she really was. So many people kept asking her what happened to her head. I love how last week at nursery the kids were asking what happened to her since she had a band aid on. Her teachers told them she had a boo boo, so the entire class kept saying they had one too and wanted a band aid as well.

The other crazy thing that happened today was when we were at our neighborhood park for a Trunk or Treat. Jake and I suddenly had no idea where Kambree was. We were looking all over the place and told a bunch of friends that she was missing. Everyone was looking around and I started to fear the worst when she hadn't shown up after about 10 minutes. It was at that moment that I saw a lady from the area walking over with her. She told me that she had found Kambree on the other side of the neighborhood. Kambree told her that she had walked home but the door was locked so she then started to roam the streets! She wasn't crying and wasn't scared at all. When I told her how she always needed to tell me where she was going and to stay close by she replied with, "uh huh mom, I was naughty. " I tried not to smile so she would know how serious I was. :)

We have had so much fun this week. Halloween is so exciting this year because Kambree just loves all the parties and candy. Everyday she tells me she is going to go Trick or Treating. I just love seeing how happy she is. She even likes all the spooky decorations and will grab my face and turn it when she sees something spooky saying, "Look mom, look! Mean Witch!" Who knew it could be this much fun to be a parent. I always dreamed of it, but didn't quite realize just how fun it could be.

Our GIANT carrots! We left them in the garden a little too long but luckily they still taste great.

Asher had rice cereal for the first time this week. He really likes  the different texture to chew on.
Also, it's a little too soon to tell but it looks like he will have brown eyes just like Kambree. I love it because Jake and I both have blue eyes and my kids have brown eyes like my mom did. Every time I look at them I think of her.

Our pumpkins we carved. The MEAN WITCH pumpkin and Snow White. I did the Snow White. It was a lot of fun but hard to be so detailed.

Jake made the Mickey Mouse pumpkin. It looks fantastic.

Kambree loved the pumpkins and loved taking pictures with them. She is so funny! I hope she always makes me laugh this much.

After Jake and I finished she wanted to hang the pictures up that we had used to make the stencil.

Man, I love this girl! Tonight when we were done it was pretty late. 10:10 to be exact. I was trying to hurry and get her to bed. As I was leaving to shut the door she help up her hand like a stop sign and said. "No Mom, I need to tell you I lub you!" So I made sure to go give her a hug and kiss as she got to say, " I lub you so much mom!" I am such a lucky person to be given these precious children. Life is great! (Even on the crazy days when I want to rip my hair out :) )

Could she be any cuter? I love her cheesy smile. I have lost my kids as well. They could care less while I am freaking out. It must be a kid thing

Scary! At least she's not shy. :)

That carrot is very impressive. Apparently you don't have wildlife uprooting your garden like we do. We didn't even try this year.

So cute! Those pumpkins turned out awesome! I'm so sorry about Kambree and her falling out of the cart. That's horrible. I hope she's feeling better. And her getting lost. Wow. I'm so glad she was found.
