Zoo visit with the cousins

This weekend Mike and Sue came to visit. We had a great time at the zoo! Kambree loved walking around the whole time looking at the animals. And Jake loved taking pictures with his new lens. I think he did a great job on these pictures.

I like this picture because it shows the reflection in the window.

Silly faces

This picture just makes me laugh!

How tall we all are, Kambre is a little bigger than a infant gorilla.

This is a picture of a baby goose that was poking his way into this world.

myfitnesspal.com

My friends Kim and Whitney just started two different blogs to get into better shape. I have been holding on to those last 5 to 8 pounds of baby weight and was so excited to join the journey with them. Kim told me about this great site called myfitnesspal.com. I decided to give it a try! I have loved it and actually lost 5 pounds this week from eating better and exercising more. If you would like to try it out go for it. It is free and calculates how much exercise and calories you should be getting to get to your goal weight. If you do it make sure to look me up so we can be friends and cheer each other on. I hope you like it like I do.

Tulip Festival

Jake had the day off and wanted to take Kambree and me to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was so beautiful. We had a great time and I even was able to get a little tan. Kambree was smothered in SPF 60 to make sure she didn't get a burn. I am so worried with her red hair that she will burn easily. If you haven't been to Tulip Festival you should go, it was a great walk and so enjoyable.

A helicopter was practicing getting water and dumping it, it was cool to see it so close.

Kambree loved feeding the HUGE fish.

I love that tongue! She focuses so much on things. And yes she got that from her daddy too.

Easter dress a week late

I was so bummed when I realized that Easter was on Conference Sunday and we were sick the week before so I wasn't able to put Kambree in her new dress. So a week after Easter she got to Strut her Stuff. She looked so cute and the dress was so poofy like a wedding dress. We were able to have fun celebrating Jake's birthday today, more is posted about that in the last post.

The Birthday Boy!

Tomorrow is Jake's birthday and we were able to celebrate tonight. It was a lot of fun, and jake was so excited for his birthday gifts. A new lens for his camera and a punch pass for golf this summer. There's nothing like celebrating with family and having good food and a great time.

Kambree had a ton of fun playing and reading books with Noni.

She was so excited about Jake's gift and didn't want to give it to him.

My wonderful Grandparents.

31 candles! The wax was melting quick.

Kambree LOVED the cake.

Happy 31st birthday Jake, we love you!

Easter and a Messy House!

The last couple weeks Jake and I have been sick with strep throat and sinus infections. It was so miserable. The body aches were TERRIBLE and we just haven't had any energy. The house has definitely suffered through all of the sickness. I began to realize though that I can clean and clean and there will always be dog hair and fingerprints on everything. I guess that's what happens when you have a dog and a toddler that likes to touch everything.

We bought this brush to get a lot of hair, it is called the furminator and was $60 but is so worth it. Sequoia loves to be brushed. She will sit for an hour while I brush her. And looking at the next picture you can tell it gets A LOT of hair out. I plan on getting her shaved this summer.

The day before I cleaned the stainless steel and they are now covered with baby handprints. O well!

We had a great Easter despite the gross weather. On Saturday we went to our neighborhood easter egg hunt. Kambree wasn't sure what to think about it all. Then on Sunday we let her find her basket by making a trail of eggs to lead her to it. She really liked this and ate way too much candy!

Sleepy eyes, but I had to show that Bree has enough hair to do pigtails now.

Our neighbor, Patrick, excited about finding eggs.
She couldn't stay standing, I think the coat was a little too big.
