Miss Independent

Kambree loves to eat! She is such a good eater and never seems to dislike anything we give her. There are some things that she prefers though. One of them being yogurt. The other day I let her feed herself and she was doing great until I left her for a second and came back to see that she had tried to drink the yogurt and it was all over her.

Doesn't this remind you of the commercial of the girl who loves the yogurt so much that she just guzzles it down?

She would concentrate so hard to get the spoon in her mouth, but loved being Independent!

Magic Balloons

So I know this is a weird post but I had to show you a picture of these balloons that I got on January 26th from my friend Denae. I keep waiting to throw them away but they have some magical helium inside, these balloons just keep staying afloat. The one in the back that says Happy Birthday is starting to die down a little but the flower one is so full and looks brand new. I will let you know how long they last! Curious if anyone has had balloons last this long? It has been three weeks so far.

I decided to post some new pictures of Kambree and some of her silly things she does.

Wow she looks a lot like her Daddy!
Trying to get the glasses
Jake's way of teasing her back.
Getting into all my piano prizes. She makes so many messes!
Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby.
Her silly face she makes when blowing raspberries.
Giving Loves to Mr. Bear.
Walking is a few weeks away, she is now standing on her own
all the time, and loves it! Not sure if I should be excited or not. :)
And this is Sequoia giving us the "Feel Sorry for Me" look. Even
though she got to go on two walks and have her ball thrown outside for 20 minutes. I think she forgets. Or else she knows how to work it to get more attention. Probably the latter.

Happy Valentine's Day! I know I have a lot to be grateful for and so much to love.

Not sure what to do about these knees?

I have been really frustrated lately with my knees! I had surgery a few years ago on my right knee to fix a tear in my miniscus. It turned out to be a lot more damage then they had thought and the recovery was a few months on crutches. Everything was going great until I started to run after having Kambree. Then my left knee started to pop a lot and make a grinding noise. I am worried that I may need surgery again on this knee now. And just when you thought I would have learned my lesson I went running this weekend but I wore a brace on the knee that was bothering me. Now both knees are popping out of place and hurting. I am curious if any of my readers have bad knees from running, or also if it could be from all the extra weight I gained through the pregnancy. I really don't want to go to the doctor so I am open to any advice you have at hopefully fixing the poor things. Thanks :)

P.S. the picture I attached is where I wish I could go running! Maybe that's the problem the bad weather and lack of sun is effecting them.

Birthday Month

It's been a busy but fun month. I think back to last year and how I had a new little baby just a few days old. She has grown up so much since that day and I think my love has grown a 100 times more for her. Normally my birthday is a BIG DEAL to me and I can't wait for the day to arrive but this year was completely different. All I could think and plan for was Kambree's birthday. I put together a DVD of the last year and decorated the house. I had her cake planned months in advance and jake and I stayed up the night before making it. It turned out so cute and I was so proud that I was able to make something so adorable. Thanks Betty Crocker for the help :) My birthday was still a blast. My wonderful Melvy stayed home for a couple hours to let me sleep in and to make breakfast for me. I got to go to lunch and shopping with my good friend Heather. And our friend Shlya watched Kambree for the night while jake and I went to a play and dinner. I didn't quite make it to my goal of being back to my pre-pregnancy weight by her birthday. I curse those last 5 pounds. O well, it was worth all the weight gain to have such a beautiful little stinker to make me smile everyday. I love you Bree Bug, Happy first Birthday!

Getting the house all cleaned up for the party and making the cute birthday cake.

It took her awhile but she finally shoved it into her mouth. Jake had dreamt about this day the entire year.

I'm just like a little kid excited to go to Disneyland!

We got these BEAUTIFUL pictures done by a girl in our old ward named Skye Johansen. She is amazing and did such a great job. I have been anxiously checking her website every morning to see if they are done. She had told me that she would be able to do them on Tuesday which was yesterday. I didn't sleep at all Monday night and then last night woke up several times checking to see if they had been posted yet. At 5:45 AM I checked and there they were! I was in love. I couldn't believe how big she looked and how she is looking so much more like a little girl then a baby. I was sort of sad about it. Poor Jake was woken up at 6 o'clock so I could show him and then I drove to her house that early to get the CD that was waiting in a little box on her front porch. I know I'm crazy. I really was so excited like when you are little and can't wait to go to Disneyland or when you can't wait to open your presents on Christmas morning. I know I'm a proud Mama, but what can I say, I think we all adore our kids. I hope you enjoy them as much as us.
