we are Fam-i-ly!

Lots of pictures today. I always seem to wait a few months before updating on here and therefore have lots to put on.

Kids getting ready to go trick or treating. Noni and Grandpa Turkey took them while Jake and I stayed home this year. Kambree was on a mission they said. She went so quick to each house and when she thought she had enough candy said, "ok it's time to go home now!"

Jake decided it would be lots of fun to scare some people. So he dressed up and sat on the porch as a "dummy". The rules were, "no scaring any of me preschool kids". :) We both had such a good time. The best were the adults that he scared and a couple teenagers. They would keep saying he wasn't real and walk up to see and then he would jump out at them. Good Memories!

This was me with my cute little preschool class making a witch's brew. My skirt fell down in the middle of the party. I was so embarrassed.

Kam painting some pumpkins to put outside.

When Monkey Island closed Kambree was so sad. We have now found a new place called Kangaroo Zoo. I love all their slides. Asher was so scared at first until I went down one of the slides with him. Now he can't get enough of them.

Santa Race- Kam and I ran a 5k in Provo called the Santa Run. They give you the outfit to run in and you get milk and cookies along the way. I thought she would do really well like she did on the last 5k we ran but this one was later in the day and she tired out really quickly. I had to carry her a lot and then Jake put her on the stroller with Asher for the last lap so we could finish before it got dark and the route was closed. It took us about 55 minutes to do, but was still fun.

Ash man just chillin while we were running. He is ADORABLE! (well at least I think so :)

Gingerbread house- We made our gingerbread house again this year. But without Jake this time. He was sick in bed with a migraine. He gets them so often now. :(

We had a neighbor give us one of her old trees so we could have one upstairs and downstairs. It was so fun to see how excited Asher was about all the lights.

Silly face Kids
They are either best friends or worst enemies. Today was a good day.

We finished up our basement! It has been so nice to hang out downstairs now and the kids love it. We loved having all of our family with us downstairs for Christmas. Lots more room now.
Here is a pic of Jake helping me do touch ups on the purple accent wall.

We were able to do family pictures with my side of the family. I love how even though we have a divided up family, we all get a long so well and still do everything together! I really feel like my kids are so blessed to have so many people that love them and are part of their lives so much.

I just love their red hair. I hope it will always stay this color.

This was after an hour of pictures and he was totally done with the smiling cute thing.

I love my sexy husband! He is my best friend. :)

Noni and Yia Yia

Lance and Alisha

I am pretty bummed that my camera's memory card died on Christmas morning. I lost all of our christmas pictures with Jake's family and from Christmas morning. :( Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. We loved seeing so many of our friends and family. And enjoyed celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Finally some time to blog!

Well the title is finally some time to blog. Even though that means doing it in the middle of the night! Jake is working an extra graveyard shift tonight so I thought I would do a little catch up.

We had fun this summer having Maren come stay with us for a week! Kambree loves her cousins so much and was so excited to have Maren over for so many sleepovers. We went to Seven Peaks a lot, Trafalga, and of course to build a bear where they got matching puppy dogs :) Kambree named her puppy Sally.

Well TROUBLE has started getting into EVERYTHING at our house. This little guy will not stop! He is all boy. Always on the go, always wanting food, and always into mischief. But we can't get enough of his smiles, laughs and rolls on his thighs.

My cute preschool class this year. I have a few students who only come on Wednesdays but I haven't got their class picture yet. I love these kids! They always crack me up and make my day so much happier.

Annual camping trip! I think next year we for sure need to go when it is warmer. The last 2 years we have gone in September. I love this time of year because all the leaves are changing colors and it isn't quite so busy. But little Ash man can not handle the cold! After a night of non stop crying we headed back home to our warm beds. Hopefully he will appreciate the great outdoors more next year. :)

All bundled up with my Dad.

Playing in the stream. Why is it that kids can be so happy just throwing rocks for hours?

Asher loves snuggling with Yia Yia.

Both sides of the family except for Mike and Sue and the kids. So happy our families get along so well so we can just do one family gathering :)

Dirty Dash race! This was one of my favorite races. The best part was the giant slip and slide at the end. I could have played on it all day long.

Before race
 After race

Kristy's first race! Way to go girl you did awesome!

Marathon

Well I trained and trained and then race day got here. It was one of the hardest things I have every done. The day started out great until I realized my IPOD was totally dead. (As in I need a new one) I was really bummed because I always run with music and it just helps me get in the zone. So I ran 10 miles with no music until Jake met up with me and lent me his. The hills at the beginning were pretty tough and the wind was so strong. I felt like I was barely moving up those hills and I was pretty exhausted right at the beginning. At mile 13 I felt a blister on my toe. It hurt so bad but I kept running until mile 18. When I pulled my shoe off to check it I soon realized it had popped and was bleeding a bit. After a band aid, I felt ready to go again. Soon after this I came to a station that they hosed you off with water. I wasn't thinking and ended up getting Jake's IPOD all wet. And guess what? It turned off and now we get to buy him a new one too. So the last 6 miles were no music and me giving myself pep talks to make it to the end. Surprisingly those last 6 miles were the best. I felt a burst of energy and felt so excited to be so close to my goal. At the end my family was cheering for me and little Kambree ran over to hold my hand and run to the finish line with me. It was such a rewarding feeling!

So: Do I want to run another Marathon? Yes I do, but not soon. I am ready for a new challenge and something different at this time. But I really did love this race even though it was a killer. To top it all off, Jake bought me some shoes that I have wanted so much. It was so nice to see a new pair of bright happy shoes after so many miles in my other ones.

Finally done! I don't really like this picture at all of me. I wish I could be one of those people that look gorgeous after running but unfortunately, I am not one of them.

Kambree ran in the kids race. She ran the whole thing and never stopped. I am so proud of my little girl!

Last but not least after a long post. A picture of me with my kiddos in their Halloween Costumes.

Happy Halloween!
